A Shared passion for Photography
Whether you’re new to photography or looking to extend your skills, you’ll find plenty to interest and stimulate you at a premier photographic club. Abington Camera Club members create powerful pictures. Some shoot landscapes, others specialise in portraits or urban abstracts. Many Abington CC photographers have won awards or achieved RPS distinctions. All enjoy the support, enthusiasm and inspiration of belonging to our friendly club. We hope that you might enjoy it too. We have a comprehensive programme of talks, digital workshops, competitions and practical evenings. Take a look around our website, contact one of the committee members, or come along to the Abington Community Centre on any Monday night between September and June by 7-30 pm to see for yourself…
…and feel free to bring some of your pictures!
Photography Today
Photography has never been more popular than it is today with the advent of digital adding an immediacy that was previously lacking Images are produced in vast amounts every day but higher quantity does not automatically mean higher quality. Finding out how to compose and take a good picture and get the best out of a file or film can be a hit and miss affair without any help.
That is why we invite expert photographers to show us their pictures, talk about them and share their secrets. Such exposure to creative ideas can only serve to bring out the best in what we produce ourselves. Positive feedback from fellow members provides further guidance and competition spurs us on. Our aim through our programme is to encourage and enable all of our members to reach their full potential.
